A sincere thank you to the more than 250 participants in the 2023 hybrid House of Delegates (HOD) meeting. This was a challenging meeting to execute. There were over 440 written testimony comments, combined with oral testimony and floor
debate, leading to successful collaborations to move our PAMED forward. You should all be proud of what we accomplished together.
The House of Delegates is truly a year-round effort, not only for your Speakers, but also for the many member-volunteers who give their time to further our profession and our PAMED. We appreciate all you do and we, again, thank you for your dedication.
The PAMED HOD website has been updated with the Proceedings, Actions and final adopted language from HOD 2023. There are opportunities on the website to provide feedback on Referred Resolutions.

HOD 2024 Meeting Dates/Venue
One important Resolution from HOD 2023 requested a 3 consecutive-day HOD meeting. In order to permit adequate time to plan HOD 2024, the Speakers requested a special Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting to determine the dates and venue for HOD 2024.
This BOT meeting was held on January 17, 2024. The Board considered several options, along with the financial and logistical components. Ultimately, the Board determined that the best compromise for HOD 2024 is to hold a Virtual Opening
(business) Session on Saturday, September 21, followed by a Hybrid (business) Session on Saturday October 26 (there will also be other HOD activities, Friday day/night and Saturday evening). Perhaps equally important is that the Board is
very much committed to listening to the voice of the HOD in scheduling future HOD meetings.
So, what does this mean for HOD 2024? The Opening Session will be held, virtually, on Saturday, September 21. This will start in the morning and will be immediately followed by virtual oral Reference Committee testimony. The next business session of the HOD will be held in a hybrid format (virtual and live attendees) on Saturday October 26. Additional HOD meetings and activities will be held on-site at Hershey on Friday and Saturday, including Saturday evening
(i.e. for those attending in-person, a 2-night stayover in Hershey).

Your Speakers expect to have other deadlines posted to the HOD website in the near future and will notify you via the HOD alerts when they become viewable.
