After a 1-year term as vice-president and president-elect, Lynn Lucas-Fehm, MD, JD a board-certified diagnostic radiologist in Philadelphia, has been inaugurated as the 175th President of the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED).
Dr. Lucas-Fehm has been an active member of organized medicine at the county and state level, including as a member of the PAMED board of trustees since 2015 and serving as president of the Philadelphia County Medical Society from 2011–2012.
Of being newly inaugurated as president, Dr. Lucas-Fehm said, “I am honored to serve as 175th PAMED President this year. With a deep commitment to supporting my fellow physicians, my presidential focus will be on practice choices and the evolving landscape of private equity in health care.”
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Lucas-Fehm’s grandfather, father and paternal aunt were all physicians, something she takes pride in bringing to her practice of medicine.
“As a third-generation physician I have witnessed the dramatic changes in the practice of medicine through the experiences of my grandfather, father and aunt as well as during my own career. I feel it's important to share what I've learned with other physicians across the state.”
Dr. Lucas-Fehm received her Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati and completed her residency and fellowship at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She also earned her Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law.
She currently works with Mid Atlantic Radiology Consultants, her subspeciality is breast imaging and intervention, including digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and image guided breast biopsies.
