The Department of Human Services (Department) is announcing its intent to increase the funding for a class of supplemental payments to qualifying acute care general hospitals for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024 that provide a substantial portion of their inpatient services to Medical Assistance beneficiaries. The Department does not intend to otherwise change the qualifying criteria or payment methodology for these payments.

Interested persons are invited to submit written comments regarding these supplemental payments to the Department of Human Services, Office of Medical Assistance Programs, c/o Regulations Coordinator, P.O. Box 2675, Harrisburg, PA 17120 or to RA-PWMAProgComments@pa.gov. Comments received within 30 days will be reviewed and considered for any subsequent revision of the notice.
