Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Extend Telemedicine Flexibilities through 2025

With the end of 2024 quickly approaching, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), jointly with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has extended current telemedicine flexibilities through December 31, 2025. The full text of the extension, entitled “Third Temporary Extension of COVID-19 Telemedicine Flexibilities for Prescription of Controlled Medications,” was submitted to the Federal Register jointly with HHS on November 15, 2024.
