I too am very concerned by the non-compete clauses and restriction of practice imposed.  The hospitals will not even negotiate to remove the non-compete when they are the ones who end the contract which is very disruptive to the physician and family.

The market is too small when the large systems buy up all the smaller practices which is limiting to both the physicians and patients since insurance companies contract with the hospitals and limit the choices.

I fully agree with the PAMED's position and these are the serious concerns experienced by physicians and ultimately impacts patient care and also quality of life for physicians. Thank you.
